June 15th Aquarium Creature Feature

After a sunny day of snorkeling at Aleutkina, Ashley our logistics coordinator returned with several of these intertidal chitons.  They are characterized by the number of ctenedia, or gills found ventrally on this mollusc.  This specimen has yellow social tunicates growing on its plates.
