Every late summer and fall, as the salmon start to return to their natal streams, hatcheries get to net their salmon as they gather to head up stream, or in our case up the raceway.  These salmon are sold at the dock to “recover” the cost spent raising that cohort of salmon years ago.  SSSC completed two cost recovery events last week with more to come throughout the season.  Swing by the Science Center in the next couple weeks to see what all the buzz is about.
