WhaleFest Symposium
We will explore emerging issues and the new frontiers in studying the marine environment. We will also discuss the role science can play in the conversation concerning the long term health of not only the ocean but of everything that is influenced by the sea. |

Whale Watching Cruises
Join WhaleFest scientists and researchers aboard an Allen Marine vessel for an educational whale watching adventure in Sitka Sound. Whale watching cruises are offered Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 11:30am departing from Crescent Harbor. Cruises are weather dependent. Proceeds benefit Sitka WhaleFest thanks to the generous support of Allen Marine Tours. Tickets ar $55/per seat and available on-line or at Old Harbor Books. |

WhaleFest 10K/5K Run/Walk at Whale Park
Join the crowd at Whale Park rain or shine, receive a special WhaleFest run t-shirt and watch for a whale along the way! Registration ($25 and includes a t-shirt) at 9:00am at Whale Park, race begins at 10:00 am. |

Reception for Scientists & Registrants-Sitka Sound Science Center Aquarium
Come to the Sitka Sound Science Center and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks before heading off to the Maritime Monthly Grind. The Molly Ahlgren Aquarium will also be available for viewing during the event. Chowder by Ludvig’s and a no host bar featuring WhaleFest Killer Cabernet. |

Maritime Monthly Grind
The marine-themed Maritime Monthly Grind promises an evening of laughter, song, dance and a dessert contest. This fun filled family event coordinated by the Monthly Grind crew will feature local talent including WhaleFest Speakers on Friday, November 2nd at 7:30 pm. At the Centennial Building. |

Sitka WhaleFest Banquet
Enjoy an lovely evening featuring WhaleFest Keynote speaker, Seth Kantner, while enjoying and a delicious meal and no host bar! Saturday, November 3rd at 6:30pm. Tickets $65.

Student Marine Art Show
Come to WhaleFest and enjoy fabulous artwork created by students from the local schools. Artwork is placed throughout the Centennial Building and can be viewed during the entire WhaleFest symposium weekend. |

Good Dog Concert
is a family-oriented musical duo featuring tight vocal harmonies backed by acoustic guitar. Their goal is to teach children the about the wonders of the natural world through music and movement. Most of their songs focus on Alaskan wildlife and feature both words and movements that help reinforce natural history concepts. Their target audience is children ages 3 – 10, but their ultimate goal is to entertain audiences with quality music that can be enjoyed by both the young and the young at heart. Concert is Thursday, November 1st at 7:00pm at Harrigan Centennial Hall. |
